The Nancy Blackett Trust at the We Do Mean To Go To Sea Conference

The Nancy Blackett Trust was at last Sunday’s busy “We Do Mean To Go To Sea” Conference at the Royal Hospital School, organised by the Woolverstone Project with the Cruising Association.

Several Nancy Blackett Trust members took part in various capacities, including leading some of the workshops., while former Paralympic yachtswoman Hannah Stodel gave one of the keynote addresses – born without part of her right arm she is planning to compete in the Vendee Globe singlehanded yacht race in 2020.

Over 100 people attended the event at the Royal Hospital School, designed to raise funds for the Woolverstone Project’s work providing sailing for disabled people. Chairman Andy Beharrell announced that it hopes to repeat the event in 2020.
