An 80th Anniversary Bookmark for We Didn’t Mean to Go to Sea

This Limited Edition 80th Anniversary Bookmark  has been commissioned by the Nancy Blackett Trust to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the publication of “We Didn’t Mean to Go to Sea” in November 1937 – and the Marathon Reading of the book on Saturday 21st October.

Each of the Marathon’s readers will be presented with one of these unique souvenirs, but you can own one, too, by buying it from our Swallows and Amazons Shop.

And if you need a copy of “We Didn’t Mean to Go to Sea” to go with it (whether hardback or paperback), you can get one here, too.

You are also invited to come along to the 80th Anniversary Marathon Reading at the Pin Mill Sailing Club on Saturday 21st October, which includes celebrity readers such as Griff Rhys Jones, Libby Purves and Sophie Neville.

Entry is free, and you can come and go as you please.

If you are using social media on the day, please use the #pinmill hashtag.
