See ‘Swallows and Amazons’ boats on display in the new Windermere Jetty museum
The new Windermere Jetty Museum of Boats, Steam and Stories opened last Saturday (23rd March), and contains a number of boats, both old and new, related to Arthur Ransome and “Swallows and Amazons.”
The new museum replaces the earlier Windermere Steamboat Museum on the same site. Marc Grimston made it to the opening and thought it was great to look around. Here are his photos of the day:
